Help: Short tutorial - Stereo Tool 3.11
This page describes how to create good sounding Stereo Tool settings from scratch.

It may be easier to start with a preset that approaches the sound that you want. Even if you do that, the descriptions on this page may still clarify things a lot.


Start the tutorial


The steps that will be performed in this tutorial are:
  • Restore the default settings
  • Make the compression effects visible on the screen: Increase volume, Lower the response speed
  • Tune the multiband compressor to the music that you want to play
  • Reduce the effects of the multiband compressor on the sound
  • Set the maximum amount of compression/limiting
  • Choose between compressing and limiting
  • Set the agressiveness of the multiband compressor/limiter
  • Configure clipping
  • Make the multiband output volume more constant
  • Configure the final limiter
  • Add noise reduction
  • Final steps
