This page describes how to create good sounding Stereo Tool settings from scratch.
It may be easier to start with a
preset
that approaches the sound that you want. Even if you do that, the descriptions on this page may still clarify things a lot.
Start the tutorial
The steps that will be performed in this tutorial are:
Restore the default settings
Make the compression effects visible on the screen:
Increase volume

Lower the response speed
Tune the multiband compressor to the music that you want to play
Reduce the effects of the multiband compressor on the sound
Set the maximum amount of compression/limiting
Choose between compressing and limiting
Set the agressiveness of the multiband compressor/limiter
Configure clipping
Make the multiband output volume more constant
Configure the final limiter
Add noise reduction
